Michelin Pilot Experience (MPE) is BACK!

This annual track event is organized by Michelin and it will takes place at Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on 9th September 2012.

Michelin is a well-known french tyre manufacturer found in 1888. Michelin's commitment in using advanced technology has successfully brought in some new inventions in this industry, such as invention of run-flat tyre, air-free Tweel tyre and the radial tyre technology used in modern green tyres nowadays that reduce fuel consumption. 

Michelin has been participated in numerous motorsports activities which held across the world such as World Rally Championships (WRC), MotoGP, Le Mans and Formula One (F1) . Participation means nothing without the trophy, Michelin has won 21 victories in Le Mans 24Hours, 102 F1 Grand Prix, 26 world titles and 350 victories in MotoGP and may more titles in other categories.

Bibendum also known as Michelin Man is the well-known symbol and mascot for the french company.

MPE - "Most Precious Experience"

Asian Pacific edition of the MPE has been running at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia since 2006 and Michelin is the only tire company that organizes such product experience program. It aims to showcase and share their latest technologies and innovations with consumers, partners as well as the public through a medley of exhilarating and adrenaline-pumping track activities coordinated by the Michelin Motorsports team. 

Think you have what it takes to drive a Formula Michelin that capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 sec? Yes, 3.5 sec!

Experience the thrill and adrenaline of being in the driver’s seat of a Formula Car!

Invited participants are offered for an open-wheel racing, dirt rallying, a touring car circuit experience as well as the ultimate chance of being behind the wheel of Formula Renault single-seater! Not to forget the R Factor Race Simulation; and the "Pitstop Challenge", chance of being a pit crew member! All of these money-can't-buy track activities definitely will put a smile on the participant's face!

Formula Michelin: 2000-spec Tatuus Chassis, 480-kilograms and powered with a 196 bhp 2.0-liter Renault engine mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox!   

Drive in the dirt with the 150bhp 1.6-liter Citroen C2 Rally car mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Renault Clio Cup car  with 220bhp of the F4R RS 2.0-liter engine mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
