F1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix 2011 ~Garage Tour~

Coveted Diamond Grand Stand tickets to watch the Formula One Petronas Malaysia GP race at Sepang on 9 – 10 April 2011.

Day 1 - Exclusive Paddock and Garage Visit

The road to Paddock Area starts here! There are two highly guarded entries available to access to the paddock area, and this is one of them!

The tunnel that connects the Main Grandstand area to Paddock area of Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

VIP access card for us in order to access through the Paddock area.

Each garage of the F1 racing team was guarded with one of their team member to protect their top secret technical information and technology from their rivals!

And finally, this is what we were looking for! Mercedes GP Petronas F1 Team's garage guarded by a friendly 6' 3" guy! ^^

The qualifying session was closely fought among the Red Bull and McLaren drivers, with the difference between pole and second place just one tenth of a second, as opposed to the eight tenths seen in Melbourne. It end up with Vettel, Hamilton and Webber in the pole starting position for tomorrow race followed closely by Button which qualified in fourth position!

Day 2: Race Day!

Diamond Main Grandstand area! Here you can get the best view of the starting line!

Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG. It has a slightly modified 481 bhp V8 engine over road-going specification, and has also been modified to reduce its weight and improve braking response!

 And the race starts with a great noise from crowd! Vettel began developing a strong lead from the rest of the pack. Hamilton and Button fought with Fernando Alonso for position, Button coming out on top and taking his first podium for 2011 season!   Bad day for Hamilton and Alonso, both were penalised for their actions on track which gave the opportunity for Heidfeld to finish in third.

Time for Champagne!
